Resource Assessment

NWCC advises the Utility Wind Interest Group and the U.S. Department of Energy on wind resource assessment for their Utility Wind Resource Assessment Program, Utility Value Analysis Program, and Prospective Forecasting Work.

State Policy Options

Major changes are sweeping across the electric utility industry nationwide. As the entire structure of the industry is being reevaluated, state lawmakers and regulators are revisiting the policies that have historically spurred renewable energy development. Decisions being made now to restructure the electricity industry constitute a window of opportunity for legislators and regulators to incorporate policies and market rules that support renewable energy policies.
