NWCC Transmission Workshop is sponsoring its first Transmission Workshop

here. REGISTER NOW!!!! NWCC Wildlife Research Meeting V: On November 3-4th, the NWCC Wildlife Workgroup is sponsoring its fifth research workshop on wildlife issues. The agenda includes: bats, Altamont pass, habitat impacts, migration, tools and risk assessment. Meeting is near Dulles Airport in Lansdowne, VA at the National Conference Center. For more information go to the meeting page on the NWCC website. Business Meeting #34: The next NWCC Business Meeting will be held in Arizona in January in coordination with Wind Power America’s Arizona State Wind Working Group. Topics in addition to NWCC Business include: wind’s relationship with water policy and transmission needs. The Wind Interaction and Bird and Bat Fact
Sheet has been sent to the NWCC Members has reached consensus! The
document will be printed and ready distribution at the Research Meeting
and to NWCC Members. |

The siting workgroup bi-monthly conference call update is October 20th at 2:00 pm ET. The call agenda and call in information has been emailed to the workgroup. If others are interested in participating, please contact Rachel, rpermut@resolv.org. |

The transmission workgroup is busy as usual, preparing for 3 workshops: October 25-26 in Little Rock, AR focusing on the SPP region, February 1-2, 2005 in Sacramento, CA to discuss transmission issues in the West, and will have their first conference call to prepare for the Midwest Workshop later this month. |
