The nation’s leading scientists on wind energy and wildlife convened on November 27-30 in Denver, Colorado, for the ninth biennial Wind Wildlife Research Meeting to share their latest findings and evaluate progress in understanding and addressing wind energy’s potential impacts on wildlife and wildlife habitat. The meeting was pivotal in several respects: in the sheer volume and scope of the research presented; in our ability, for the first time, to provide meta-analysis on a number of different topics and enlighten the way forward thanks to that analysis; and in attendance, interest, and support.  

Meeting attendance broke all previous Wind Wildlife Research Meeting records with over 360 attendees. And with over 40 speakers and 68 poster presentations, the research topics covered were the broadest and deepest we have had to date.
