Transmission Planning in the Upper Midwest IV

The Transmission Planning in the Upper Midwest will take place February 11, 2004 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Through a series of presentations and extensive dialogue, the workshop participants will collaboratively:

  • Learn about progress on the development of Regional Transmission Expansion in the Midwest ISO Transmission Expansion Plan (MTEP)
  • Discuss types of analysis and input needed for development of the 2004 and 2005 Midwest Transmission Expansion Plans
  • Using the proposed Northeast Iowa/Southwest Minnesota transmission project as a case study, hear and begin to address perspectives from various interests about needed actions to spur transmission development in the MISO region
  • Capture key elements of criteria for non-reliability-based transmission expansion.
