Southwest Power Pool Workshop II: Transmission & Wind

September 19, 2005
Topeka, Kansas

The meeting will bring together local, state, and national policymakers, environmentalists, utilities, energy offices, advocates, and other wind-interested stakeholders to discuss key studies and assessments of transmission upgrades. Participants will also discuss policies and related issues occurring in the Southwest Power Pool, and explore how the transmission landscape is affecting the development of wind energy in the region. Meeting participants will identify critical decision makers and entities that needed to play an active role in resolving transmission issues, and determine a path forward for engaging these individuals and organizations.
