To ensure broad stakeholder representation, NWCC engages and involves members from a wide range of sectors, including: representatives from state legislatures, state and federal agencies, conservation advocates, wind power developers, community wind advocates, electric utilities, state utility commissions, consumer advocacy offices, tribal governments, wind equipment suppliers, and agriculture and economic development organizations.
The NWCC’s strategic approach enables stakeholder dialogue, encourages research projects, and conducts outreach to broad audiences. All NWCC business, including meetings and topic-specific workshops, white papers, member listings, and other wind-related documents are available without charge on this website. Workgroup Updates and Conference Calls: The NWCC has active Transmission and Wildlife workgroups, and organizes various activities and produces publications related to siting.
